Hosted terms.

Proposed terms for the future Saiph Hosted service.

Draft · 11 October 2026. Paid Hosted is not open and these pages do not offer a subscription. The service description, price, trader contact details and operating procedures must be approved and supplied before these terms can be used for purchases.

Trader and service

The proposed trader is Alexander Belik, operating as Abelik1, Ireland. A geographical business/contact address, working email and telephone contact remain to be confirmed on the contact page. Saiph Hosted is intended to provide a managed relay for approved devices. The final order page must specify included features, device/storage limits, compatibility, geographical availability and support arrangements. Account sign-in or a sandbox payment does not grant production access.

Account and acceptable use

Use an account you are entitled to control, protect sign-in credentials and approve only your own or authorized devices. Do not use the service for unlawful activity, unauthorized access, abuse or attempts to bypass limits. You retain ownership of your content and give the service only the permissions necessary to transmit and store it as described in the approved service and privacy information. Report suspected account compromise through the verified contact channel.

Do not rely on Hosted as your only copy of files or for emergency communications. The ordinary self-hosted Hub may process readable content; Hosted encryption claims must describe the released, reviewed feature scope. Recovery of lost device/content keys and uninterrupted availability are not established promises.

Price, renewal and contract confirmation

Before ordering, you must see the complete price, currency, taxes, billing interval, any trial terms, minimum commitment, feature limits, renewal date and cancellation method. No production price or trial has been approved. The proposed subscription renews each billing period until cancelled; no early-cancellation fee is proposed. Any future trial or price change requires clear prior information and applicable consent or cancellation rights.

Checkout must require acceptance of the reviewed terms, clearly indicate the obligation to pay, and provide a durable confirmation of the order, terms and withdrawal information. Payment is processed by Stripe. Device approval remains separate from payment. A test checkout creates no production service contract.

Cancellation, withdrawal and refunds

You will be able to stop future renewal using the verified billing portal or the published contact channel. The proposed ordinary cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period with access until then. The confirmation must state the effective date and that no further renewal is scheduled. Signing out, uninstalling an app or deleting a device does not cancel a subscription.

Consumers buying online generally have 14 days from agreement of the service contract to withdraw without giving a reason. The proposed Saiph policy grants a full refund on withdrawal within that period, including if service has begun, with no usage deduction and no waiver of that right. This policy needs owner approval before launch. The refund and withdrawal page explains the process and includes a model statement. Longer statutory periods and mandatory remedies remain available where applicable.

An accessible online withdrawal function, separate from end-of-period renewal cancellation, must be implemented and verified where required before consumer checkout opens. Its absence is a launch blocker; a draft page or Stripe cancellation setting does not satisfy that requirement.

Problems, changes and service ending

If the service is not supplied, is faulty or does not match the contract, contact the trader. Applicable consumer remedies may include putting it right, a proportionate price reduction or terminating the contract and receiving a refund. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights, including rights under Ireland's Consumer Rights Act 2022 or protections that apply where a consumer lives.

Material service or term changes must be explained in advance, including their reason, effective date and any applicable right to end the contract. The service may be suspended where necessary to address abuse, security threats or legal obligations; give reasons, notice and a chance to resolve matters where appropriate and lawful. If the trader ends a paid service without your breach, the proposed policy refunds the unused prepaid period. Export/deletion timing and any grace period must be finalized before launch.

Privacy, software licences and disputes

Read the account and billing privacy notice. These service terms do not replace or reduce the open-source licence rights for the desktop/Hub (AGPL-3.0-or-later), Android (GPL-3.0-only) or SDK (MIT). No blanket exclusion of liability overrides rights that law does not allow a trader to exclude.

The proposed governing law is Irish law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections and competent courts available under applicable law. Raise complaints through the verified contact channel so the trader can investigate. Any applicable dispute-resolution scheme must be confirmed before it is advertised; no scheme membership is asserted here.
